SPARTAN RACE, Munich Germany. First of the Trifecta. I have been waiting for you for sooooooo long. SO! Just a little history… My son joined your elite force a couple of years ago, stateside in Mobile AL. How is my son a SPARTAN and I’m not. I want to be the one to lead by example. Watching one of the smallest kids in his age group, destroy your kids course and finish 3rd got me excited and so proud of my son. It was my turn to do the same. It was time for me to take lead again.
You did not make it easy. From the first obstacle being one of the steepest hill climbs 
I have ever had to race up to and by no measure the coldest water I have ever had to dunk my head under. THAT!! Made my heart skip a few beats and my lungs practically collapse. You were definitely a tough course. I am proud to say that I did make it through your course without having to do any burpees. OH WAIT! I did, actually. Only because at the memorization stop where I had to say my numbers, she couldn’t get me to say my numbers wrong and said “give me 10 anyways”. I 
repeated the numbers in my head the entire course so I wouldn’t forget. SERIOUSLY??? ok whatever makes you happy, so I did them… Well! I finished you and just over an hour and pretty proud of that. Mostly though, excited to say that my son and I have joined the SPARTANS. Now all we have to do wait till he is old enough so we can actually do one together as a team..
