London, England. Getting to you was tough. Weather delays and over booked flight almost canceled my trip all together. But, you were on the top of my bucket list and a sweet German lady working the counter must have noticed my patient but despair composure. She called me over, put me in the last 1st class seat available and wished me a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Vielen Dank! (Thank You Very Much) My Lady, to you as well and God Bless You. From the moment I got off the plane, felt an amazement for you. On the cab ride to the hotel, my face stuck to the window seeing street names like Manchester, Quincy, Chelsea and so many more, felt a bit like New England back home. It’s late, I have the rest to of the week to see you so it’s good night Your Highness! From the old cobble stone roads to Jack the Ripper and Big Ben, the fish and chips to the waffles dazzled with Nutella and mini marshmallows, you, Buckingham Palace, won me over. With your colossal
size, perfectly manicured gardens, statues and the Changing of the Guards. I couldn’t wait to see you all dressed up in your evening attire. After spending the evening with you. Leaving me in awe with how beautifully dressed up you were. With all the lights, people, entertainment and HOT SANGRIA to take the chill away. I must say, that sangria was heavenly! Never had hot sangria. New Year’s Eve approaching quickly, you had so many options on how to spend the night. You chose to introduce me to some of your representatives. Being at ONE Cocktail Bar was by far the place to be, with their acrobatic bottle tossing drink making skills, their energy
and welcoming live entertainment. As much as I wanted to continue the night, it’s time to check you off my bucket list. I walked your streets filled with people, food and entertainment. Your buildings were lit so vibrantly. The night coming to an end, the countdown begins. From the countdown to the fireworks display, you did not disappoint. HAPPY NEW YEAR’S YOUR HIGHNESS!!!
